Renée Silverman 

STORY CONSULTANT AND ARCHIVAL PRODUCER

Renée Silverman, an award-winning filmmaker, has worked as a director, producer, and writer for more than twenty years. Most recently, she was the US Producer for “Wim Wenders: Desperado,” winner of the Rose D’Or and an official Cannes 2020 selection. She also worked as the US producer for the Telluride hit feature doc, “Schwing: The Blue Note Story”. Both films were produced for German public television.

Silverman is the co-writer and story consultant for the upcoming feature doc, “A Vow from Hiroshima” about Nobel prize winner, Setsuko Thurlow, and is wrapping production on “Twenty Pearls”, a feature documentary about Kamala Harris’ sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha where she is a producer and story consultant. Silverman’s archival producing credits include the Oscar nominated documentary, “RBG” among many others. As a writer, Silverman has adapted a memoir into a feature film, “Radical” that was acquired by a major Hollywood director and is currently writing an episodic dramatic series, “The Genius of Paris”. Together with Peter Miller, Silverman has co-directed two award winning documentaries, “Refugee Kids: One Small School Takes on the World” broadcast on WNET and “Sosúa: Make a Better World” broadcast on PBS affiliates across America.
